School and community workshops

Invictus Solutions is an organisation which provides a broad range of counselling services in Sydney.

We assist our clients with a large number of personal and psychological issues including family conflict, behaviourial addiction, anxiety and depression.

In addition to one-on-one and group sessions, we also facilitate a wide variety of workshops designed for school and community groups in various settings including high schools and tertiary institutions, businesses and other community locations.

Our workshops are culturally sensitive, interactive and practical.

With regards to our school workshops, Invictus Solutions is able to assist students and their parents and teachers to methodically address and deal with the many issues that young people are faced with in 2023.

These include Social Media, Smartphone Addiction, Gaming Addiction and Cyberbullying, to name just a handful.

Our workshops are tailored for educators at various levels – while in terms of businesses, our sessions are designed to assist employees (and employers for that matter,  both in private enterprise and government)  to navigate their way through the myriad of problems that can affect us not only at work but also during our ‘down time’.

Among our very broad variety of workshop topics are: Vaping, Drugs and Alcohol Addiction; Cyberbullying; Building Emotional Resistance and Coping Skills; Online dangers and how to mitigate them; Power of Purpose; Mental Health Awareness and First Aid; Effective Stress Management and Suicide – The Ripple Effect.

The kind of messages that our skilled and experienced facilitators convey to their audiences to deal with these issues include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Vaping, Drugs and Alcohol: This workshop is designed to provide information on the dangers of substance abuse, including vaping, drugs, and alcohol – and their impact on physical and mental health. It aims to equip participants with practical strategies to prevent substance abuse and support those affected by it.
  2. Cyberbullying: With the growing use of technology, cyberbullying has become a huge issue among young people these days. This workshop provides practical solutions for both victims of cyberbullying and those around them, including methods of reporting and prevent online harassment.
  3. Building Emotional Resilience and Coping Skills: Here we focus on helping participants develop resilience (a key and admirable trait to cope with life’s challenges) and stresses. We equip those enrolled in this workshop with strategies to build their emotional resilience and strengthen their ability to handle stressful and adverse situations.
  4. Online Dangers (Gaming, Social Media, Pornography): This workshop is aimed at raising awareness to the potential dangers associated with online activities such as gaming, social media, and pornography. It provides practical tips on how to minimise the risks and stay safe when online.
  5. Power of Purpose: Is a workshop which highlights the importance of finding a purpose in life and how this can positively impact on our mental health and well-being. Participants learn how to identify their passions and values and create a plan for achieving their goals.
  6. Mental Health Awareness and First Aid: This workshop provides participants with an understanding of mental health and how to recognise the signs of mental illness in themselves and those around them – family, friends, work colleagues and casual acquaintances. It also equips participants with basic first aid skills for responding to a mental health crisis.
  7. Effective Stress Management: Stress can have a significant impact on our physical and mental health. This workshop provides practical strategies for managing stress, including techniques such as mindfulness, relaxation, and time management.
  8. Suicide – the Ripple Effect: This workshop is aimed at raising awareness of the impact of suicide on individuals, families, and communities. Participants learn how to identify the signs of suicide and how best to support someone who may be at risk of suicide.

Our workshops are a great benefit to schools and community groups as they provide practical, interactive, and culturally sensitive solutions to the complex challenges faced by young people, educators, employees, and employers.

By addressing issues like substance abuse, cyberbullying, mental health and stress management, these study groups provide participants with the tools they need to build resilience and cope with adversity.

Workshops run by members of the Invictus Solutions team are designed to be interactive, enabling participants to share their experiences and learn from one other. They also provide practical strategies that can be implemented immediately, empowering participants to take control of their lives and make positive changes.

Our workshops are delivered by experienced and qualified facilitators, headed by our founder Dean Mousad. Dean and the entire Invictus Solutions team are passionate about helping others.

At Invictus Solutions, our goal is to target our workshops to meet the needs of the specific audience, ensuring that participants receive relevant information and practical advice and solutions which will  empower them to not only build resilience and deal with personal issues a lot better but to, in time, achieve their full potential.
